APA102 5050 Pixel LED Chip Two-Wire Clock Data
Two-wire clock plus data pixel chip with high PWM refresh, chosen for video-rate pixel panels and long data runs where flicker-free dimming matters.
Product Overview
The APA102 chip uses a two-wire SPI interface with a separate clock line and data line, which keeps signal edges clean over long chains and at high data rates. The integrated control circuit drives each 5050 pixel independently, making the chip a common choice for video-rate pixel panels and camera-facing installations.
PWM refresh reaches 30kHz, so dimming stays flicker-free on camera, and brightness is adjustable in 32 independent steps beside the color channels. The chip runs on DC5V with RGB full color output and a 120 degree viewing angle.
Clock and data wiring layouts can be matched to panel designs, and custom reel packing is available for assembly lines. Each lot passes an aging test covering full brightness and low gray levels before shipment.
